A celebratory graphic set in a brightly lit sports stadium at night with falling confetti and a red running track in the foreground. At the top is a large blue "VP" logo. The central text reads, "VISTA PEAK UNIFIED SPORTS has become a NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED UNIFIED BANNER CHAMPION SCHOOL!". The Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools logo is at the bottom center, accompanied by the tagline "A MORE INCLUSIVE WORLD THROUGH UNIFIED SPORTS".

The Special Olympics Committee recently recognized Vista PEAK Preparatory as a Unified Banner Champion School!

A Special Olympics Unified Champion School® demonstrates commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 standards of excellence receives national banner recognition. These standards were developed by a national panel of leaders from Special Olympics and the education community. Vista PEAK Preparatory was recognized having an inclusive school climate and exuding a sense of collaboration, engagement and respect for all members of the student body and staff.

The primary activities within these standards include: Special Olympics Unified Sports® (where students with and without disabilities train and compete as teammates), Inclusive Youth Leadership and Whole-School Engagement. Banner Unified Champion Schools like Vista PEAK Prep also demonstrate they are self-sustainable or have a plan in place to sustain these activities into the future.

Congratulations to the Vista PEAK Preparatory Unified Sports program!
