As we begin July and head into the 4th of July holiday, we wanted to share some important updates for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. We are excited to welcome two new members to our school leadership team!
Please join us in welcoming Assistant Principal Dr. Maddie Denjongpa and Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Mr. Jordan Ivey to Bison Nation!
Dr. Maddie Denjongpa
Maddie is thrilled to return to Aurora Public Schools to join the Vista PEAK community. For the past three and a half years, she served as a researcher with the American Institutes for Research (AIR), partnering with districts and state education agencies across the country to improve student outcomes through strategic planning, district evaluation, and program implementation.Before her work in education research, Maddie served as an Assistant Principal in APS and held roles as a teacher, instructional coach, and school leader across grades 6-12 in Aurora and Denver Public Schools.
She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Denver and brings a deep commitment to equity, instructional excellence, and the student experience. Maddie looks forward to working collaboratively with the Vista PEAK community to ensure every student is supported, challenged, and inspired.
Mr. Jordan Ivey
Jordan Ivey comes to Vista PEAK with over 17 years of experience in Colorado public education, serving in both teaching and administrative roles across middle and high school settings. He currently serves as an assistant principal at Fox Ridge Middle School in Cherry Creek School District, and was previously the Athletic Director at Ponderosa High School. A proud Colorado native, Jordan earned his Bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he also played collegiate soccer. Outside of work, he is a committed husband and proud father of three children, ages 9, 7, and 4, who keep him grounded and inspired every day.
We’re thrilled to have them join our team and bring their experience to support our vision, purpose, and values here at Vista Peak.
