ATTENTION ALL SENIORS!

Student ID's are a MUST in order to participate in Senior Events!

Senior Expectations

For seniors to participate in any senior events they must meet the following criteria for 3rd and 4th Quarter:

You must maintain an average daily attendance of 90% or better

No more than 3 behavior referrals and/or no major infractions

September 25- 9:15-10 am (During Advisory): Senior meeting with Herff Jones to discuss Graduation Orders including Cap & Gown. This is meeting for Seniors, parents do not need to be in attendance

October 4: Senior pictures due to yearbook (Specific details on the website)

October 9 & 29 - 5:30-7:30 FAFSA Nights

October 22 11am-3:30pm : Herff Jones will be accepting graduation orders in the main hallway

November 14 - 4:00-7:30 pm: Parent Teacher Conferences

December 18 & 19 : First Semester Finals days

December 20: 2nd Quarter grades due - Academic Honors for Graduation, including Top 10 , Salutatorian and Valedictorian decisions, cut off dates.

February 6 - 4:00-7:30 pm: Parent Teacher Conferences (Last one for the year)

February 19 - No school for seniors practice SAT for 9-11

April 14 - No school for seniors SAT day for 9-11

End of April: District Bright Lights Ceremony for Top 10, exact date and location TBD

May 2 - 8-11 pm: Prom location TBD

May 4-8: Seniors last week. Detailed list of Senior Activities will be updated in the Spring

May 4-15: AP Testing various dates and times see website for exact details.

May 8: Seniors last day of regular classes. Please note that Pickens and CCA may have a later final day. Any seniors who have not met graduation requirements by 3:15 on May 8th will be expected to continue coming to school until graduation requirements are met and will not be able to walk in Graduation Ceremony but can still earn their diploma.

May 13 - 7:30-11 am: Senior Checkout, Graduation Rehearsal and Senior walk to Exploratory. During Senior checkout students must make sure all fees are paid, all materials including uniforms and books are returned to the school. Once seniors complete check out they will receive their Cap & Gown. Graduation rehearsal will be in the gym not DU!

May 14 6-7:00 pm: Senior PEAK Achievement Awards. Seniors who have earned honors will receive their cords at this time. Seniors should wear their Cap & Gowns. Seniors who are being honored will be notified at the Beginning of May so they can plan to attend.

May 19 9am: Graduation at DU’s Ritchie Center. Graduates need to arrive at 8 am!
