Rachelle Plourde

Hi, my name is Rachelle Plourde. I was born and raised right here in Aurora, CO and I am very excited to get to teach in my community. I received my B.S. in Biochemistry at Regis University, after graduation I moved to Bloomington, IN to begin a Ph.D. program in Chemistry at Indiana University. After a year I decided that sitting in a lab and taking data from a computer was not what I wanted to do.

In Indiana I had also been working as an Assistant Instructor teaching freshman chemistry labs and supervising the chemistry outreach program, which I really enjoyed. So I moved back to Colorado and started working on getting my teaching license. Currently I am finishing my Masters in Education through Adams State University.

When not in the classroom or completing my own course work, I like to spend time with my adorable puppy Fin.
