I was born and raised here in Aurora, Colorado. After receiving a BA in Musical Theatre with a writing minor from the University of Northern Colorado, I moved to New York City to pursue a career as an actor, singer, and creator. I spent almost ten years in New York. I had some wonderful experiences performing in theatres in NYC and throughout the East Coast, but I realized that I was unfulfilled and began to reflect on the calling for my life. After thinking about the impact that both of my parents made as teachers, I realized that teaching was the best way to use my talents and gifts to help others.
I then completed my MA in Secondary English Education from Brooklyn College City University of New York and taught English and theatre in Brooklyn. While in New York, I met my wife, Lori. We decided to return to Colorado to raise our family. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons, Lukin and Hayden. I feel blessed to be a Bison with amazing administration, staff, and students and am excited to continue to foster the growth of creative innovators, artists, and compassionate human beings. I am incredibly proud of the accomplishments of PEAK Players’ last season with The Matchmaker, Flowers for Algernon, I Never Saw Another Butterfly, and Beauty and the Beast. Please join us for our 2016-17 Theatre Season beginning with Antigone in November!
