SaraMiller

Hi, my name is Sara Miller.  I am excited to be a part of the Vista Peak Prep Team!!!  As I walked through the front doors of Vista Peak for the first time (June 2014), I knew I was home! I have not looked back since.

I have 14 years of pediatric nursing experience.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my career as a Registered Pediatric Nurse working at the Children’s Hospital, Parker Adventist and continue to work at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.  During my nursing experience, I have managed critically ill newborns, infants, children and adults.   I started my career in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit); I have also spent time in pediatric surgery, the emergency room/urgent care & cardiac surgery.  Although, I love my job in the hospital; I knew it was time to look for a career that was a little more family friendly.  It has proven to be a great change for our family.

A little about me:  I am a Colorado native and proud to say I am a product of APS.  I graduated from Gateway High School and attended University of Colorado School of Nursing where I received my BSN.  My favorite job in the world is being a Mommy to my daughter, Ellinor.  She brings so much joy and happiness into my life!!!  Amazing how a little being can stop you dead in your tracks instantly, remind you the innocence of the world and what is most important in life.  I love to laugh, spend time with family & friends, the outdoors: camping and hiking, working in my flower garden and anything that allows me to be creative and crafty.

I have always had a deep seeded desire to work in the public school system as a nurse!  I am continually looking for new learning experiences in the dynamic ever-changing field of nursing.  I hope to have a positive & profound impact on Vista Peak students, their families and staff members.  At the end of the day, the most important thing for me is to be able to leave knowing that I gave everything I could to each and every student I come in to contact with!   I am excited and look forward to the new challenges and experiences this year will bring and continue to help me grow professionally.  My ultimate goal here at Vista Peak is to eventually spend time in the classroom helping support our fabulous teaching staff and to help educate students on the importance of healthy choices and how to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Feel free to come by the clinic and introduce yourself or call and say hello!

Go Bison!!!
