Laura Waide

I have worked in Aurora for the last eight years; I joined the Bison team five years ago. I have also taught in Northern Colorado at Greeley West High School and in Aurora at Mrachek Middle School.  Throughout these experiences, I have taught several different Literacy and elective classes from 7th-12th grade. Currently, I am teaching AP Language and Composition as well as 12th Grade Literacy. Also, I am the Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach and co-sponsor of Young Women of Purpose.

I am a Colorado Native- and grew up only a little South of PEAK, in Parker. I attended Chaparral High School and then went on to receive a degree at the University of Northern Colorado. Go Bears! Throughout college, I worked as a Technical Writer for an oil and gas software company and began to see Literacy in a different light.

I married Jordan Waide last fall and we love to spend time with our “fur child” – Mac! We enjoy being active outdoors: hiking and playing volleyball all summer long (and as much as I can throughout the school year). Come support me, and the Lady Bison Volleyball team, this fall!
