Jessica Johnson

J_JohnsonHi, my name is Jessica Johnson!

I am a Colorado native and very proud of it! I grew up in Parker and graduated from Elizabeth High school. Go Cardinals! I love Colorado and never plan on leaving.

After high school I received my Bachelor’s degree in business management from Metro State University. I worked in healthcare for three years and realized it was not where my heart was! I decided to return to school and obtained a MA in teaching with an emphasis in Special Education from Metro State University. I worked my first year of teaching in special education at Alice Terry Elementary (K-2) and loved every minute of it. The students taught me a lot about teaching and a lot more about myself. I loved teaching the younger students, but felt like teaching high school would be a better fit for me. It was then that I found a new home at Vista Peak Prep and have been here ever since!  I am still continuing my education (Yes! I am a life time learner!) and am working to obtain an E.d.S. degree administration and policy from University of Northern CO.

When I am not teaching or working on my own school work you can find me spending time with my friends, family, and three dogs!

I am very excited for the upcoming year and look forward to everything that the future holds at VP!
